Lara Costafreda (1988, Lleida, Catalonia) works developing illustration and creative direction projects for international publications, brands and ad agencies.
At the same time, she promotes design and communication projects for social transformation, related to immigration, racism, the culture of peace or social justice, among others.

Formed in fashion design and plastic arts between Barcelona, London (Central Saint Martins) and Rio de Janeiro (PUC), she has a Postgraduate Degree in Creative Illustration and Visual Communication from the EINA Design University and a theoretical research thesis on “Why the illustration boom in Catalonia? ” by BAU Design University.
As an illustrator, her environmentally-based work is a love letter to nature; a tribute to her free spirit and wild beauty. She has worked for brands such as Chanel, Hermès, Amnesty International or Vogue Magazine, among many others.
As an artistic activist, she has promoted multiple projects that address urgent issues in society, using the different tools, processes and spaces offered by the design and visual communication system to create artistic projects capable of generating a real and positive impact.
