I was born in Barcelona in 1969 and almost since then I draw and I am interested in graphic design. But with a parenthesis in which I also studied Spanish philology and Linguistics. I'm interested in languages and books.
Now I combine my work as an illustrator with teaching and translation (UPF, Barcelona).
I have published thirteen albums and illustrated books, the best known being El camino de Marwan (2016), which received an Honorable Mention at the Bologna Children's and Youth Book Fair. After they have come El sembrador d'estrelles (2017), El poema de la rosa als llavis (2018), A flor de piel (2018), A Sky without Lines (2019), La reina de Gizeh (2019), A les fosques ( 2020), 50 escletes i un raig de lluna (2021) and Keep Calm & Be Happy (2021).
I have worked in press and poster design. Among the posters, the Murrieta Art project of the Marqués de Murrieta winery (2022) stands out. At press I've collaborated with the Barcelona City Council's Metròpolis magazine, with Barçakids, with the Palau de la Música's Catalan Music Magazine and with Cavall Fort.
I have illustrated musical shows such as No som soldats (2014-16) into the cycle called Aperitius Musicals of the Diputació de Barcelona's libraries, El camino de Marwan (2016-19), based on the album of the same title and A les fosques (2021-22).
I have participated in exhibitions and workshops in Barcelona, Madrid, Segovia, Malaga, Sàrmede (Italy), Sao Paulo, Vilanova i la Geltrú and Sitges.
As a curiosity, I'm proud that the logo I made for the Vilanova i la Geltrú Toldrà Year events (dedicated to the musician Eduard Toldrà) has become a legal tender postage stamp.
